Maintenance Partners’ rotorshop in Zwijndrecht (near Antwerp – Belgium) is dedicated to perform the inspection (according to the API 687 standard), high speed balancing (or operating speed rotor balancing), repair, refurbishment and testing of turbomachinery rotors.

Rotor Repairs & Inspections
Each rotor repair starts with an inspection, the inspection provides a complete assessment of the rotor condition.
An API 687 inspection includes:
- Rotor cleaning (glass bead blasting)
- Visual inpection
- Mechanical & Electrical Run out
- Non Destructive Testing
- Reporting & repair proposal

Depending on the condition of the rotor, the following may be included in the rotor repair:
- Rotor journal repairs by welding, laser cladding or HVOF coating
- Spare parts: manufacturing of new impellers, shafts, blades, diaphragms, blade carriers, etc.
- Reblading
- Replacement of seal strips
- Low speed balancing
- High speed balancing
- Over speed test
- Impeller spin test
- Coating application on compressor impellers for corrosion protection, reduction of fouling rates and a smooth surface, resulting in an increased efficiency

High Speed Balancing Machine
The Maintenance Partners rotorshop is equipped with a state-of-art Schenck high speed balancing machine in which we balance rotors at speeds up to 30.000 RPM according to API684, API617 or ISO11342 standards.

The rotorshop provides all required parts for rotors, with support from our in-house engineering department, including:
- Steam turbine & axial compressor blades
- Diaphragms for steam turbines & compressors
- Complete new reverse engineered rotors
- Supply of impellers (slot welded or brazed type)
