ZERO HOURS OVERHAUL

On arrival in our dedicated workshop the turbine is fully stripped and all the components are inspected, tested and evaluated.

Based on these results a repair plan is made and the components are repaired as appropriate to allow, at the minimum, another full maintenance cycle to be achieved.

Typical repairs carried out during gas turbine maintenance are:

  • Repair of hot section (superalloy) components, by means of welding,
  • brazing, heat treatments and re-coating.
  • Renewal or repair of tilting pad bearings.
  • Repair of compressor blades and vanes, all parts are NDT
  • inspected and recoated.
  • Ultrasonical cleaning and flowtesting of fuel nozzles.
  • Renewal of IGV linkage and bushes.
  • Inspection and repair of combustion chamber.
  • Re-coating of compressor inlet.
  • Balancing of compressor and turbine rotor.

After the gas turbine maintenance, the turbine is re-assembled and is re-assembled it is effectively in an as new condition, all the parts repaired to last another full maintenance cycle.

The gearbox is dissasembled, clearances are checked and the components are fully inspected and repaired as required. All roller bearings and seals are renewed as a matter of course.

During your gas turbine maintenance we can install our replacement turbine for the duration of the overhaul. We carry a Solar® Taurus SoLoNox, and a Solar® Centaur for this purpose.

SERVICE INSPECTIONS

For gas turbine maintenance we offer standard 4,000 and 8,000 hours inspections, or a customised inspection plan depending on the needs of the customer. We can supply all the items needed, air-, oil-, hydraulic filters, washing detergent, gaskets, thermocouples etc. All instrumentation and protective devices are of course calibrated and tested. Thanks to our commitment it is possible to deliver the best results when performing gas turbine maintenance.

GENERATOR INSPECTIONS AND OVERHAUL

As a former ABB Service company we are very familiar with the generators installed in the TUMA and MAN packages.

We have the equipment and experience to perform high voltage testing on site and in our dedicated work shop we can perform every type of repair, including a full rewind of the generator. We stock spare generators for Solar® Centaur and Taurus for use in emergencies. Work in your factory can still continue while we perform your gas turbine maintenance.

PACKAGE OVERHAUL AND RELOCATION

A full package overhaul can transform a used package into a practically new package, as cables, instrumentation, generator, auxilliaries, piping etc. can be renewed as required. We can also relocate a package to any location in the world.
